Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs went off in an interview with RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel tonight over the Republicans planning to vote against President Donald Trump‘s emergency declaration.
Several Republican senators have indicated they will oppose it, despite efforts from the White House, and it’s expected to pass the senate, which will force a veto from the president.
Dobbs declared to McDaniel that the RINOs “are just ridiculous in their thinking, their performance, and their failure to support a president.”
McDaniel said she has heard from a lot of people all over the country that Democrats are in lockstep all the time and Republicans should be able to do that too. She defended Trump’s actions on border security and said “he needs to be supported.”
“I will tell you straight-up,” Dobbs said. “I think every senator who votes against this should absolutely be removed from office. I mean, I think the RNC should work to get rid of them, because they’re standing in the way of a president who is the most successful in the first two years of his presidency since FDR.”
McDaniel again said defended Trump and said he’s well within his power to take this action, telling Dobbs there’s a “serious problem” at the border. She again emphasized to Dobbs the frustration people feel about how Republicans can’t “stick with this president.”
Dobbs teed off on “ignoramus” former Speaker Paul Ryan for his comments about Trump’s chances in 2020 (which he’s since walked back) and talked about Trump’s accomplishments before going back to the Republicans opposing the emergency declaration.
He name-dropped senators like Chuck Grassley, Mike Lee, and Ted Cruz and suggested they’ve lost their minds.
