In case you missed it, the left-leaning media handed Donald Trump a massive victory on Saturday by playing right into his hands at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. For the second time, Trump passed on attending the media self-love-fest, instead opting to hold an anti-elitists counter-event with the people in another Washington — the one in Michigan, where Hillary Clinton didn’t bother to visit much before losing the state in 2016.
The Daily Wire reports,
At the WHCD Saturday, “Daily Show” alumnus Michelle Wolf ignored the standard advice of “singe, don’t burn” in what many at the event described as an “embarrassing” display of vulgarity and virulent partisanship. The result was a whole lot of “p***y” references, a brutal abortion joke, a line about statutory rape, and tasteless/ruthless jokes about Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ appearance and being a white female version of Uncle Tom, while Sanders sat there with class and took it.
The performance crossed the line so egregiously that the president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, Margaret Talev, promptly got herself on record thoroughly condemning Wolf, though Talev admits that she herself chose Wolf to speak at the event.
But while both sides of the aisle shared a moment of unity in condemning Wolf, at least publicly, the equally virulently partisan comedian-turned-conscience of the nation Jimmy Kimmel thought Wolf totally nailed it and that “the media” was being unfair.
“Dear ‘the media’ – @michelleisawolf was FUNNY. Hire a juggler next year,” wrote the always snarky Kimmel.

The response online was swift and strong, and often far “FUNNIER” than Wolf or Kimmel. Here are some examples (h/t Twitchy):
After all you went through with your son, did you think the part about abortion was FUNNY @jimmykimmel?

So sad. Killing unborn babies You need to sober up

She was terrible, mean, vulgar, not funny. Basically she was instrumental of showing the basic hate against this President. If this was Obama, none of this would have happened. Sad commentary.

Just as funny as this! pic.twitter.com/gK6VkWWCoJ

I would put you two in the same category – vile and disgusting. Neither of you are funny. It’s ok for you to attack a woman on her looks. If Conservatives did something like that you’d be “outraged!” You show is boring. #boycottkimmel

I am not surprised that you find her funny. Put your wife and child out there for this kind of crap! Then tell us how funny it is.

I must be getting old. It is not the “meanness” of her barbs that bother me, but the vulgarity and tastelessness of her routine. Would have reacted same if the comedian had been a man.

I love a good, humorous roast. This just wasn’t good. “Most people thought it was funny” is 100% false. Literally everyone I’ve seen, liberal and conservative all say it sucked. Michelle Wolf just isn’t funny. That’s not an insult to her, it’s just the truth.

If you want to witness a roast, check out the old Dean Martin roasts. They were funny, no one was humiliated and funny. Why would anyone subject him/herself to such vulgar, base vernacular disguised as humor? No thanks.
