From The Sun
In a shot to rival Blue Planet, snappers display the calm of the ocean as a whale and her baby make their way through the sea.
From the mass of incredible photos, the candid and heart-warming shot of the gorilla by Jo-Anne McArthur emerged as the winner.
The photo was one of nearly 50,000 entries submitted for the 2017 competition, and shows the gorilla shortly after he was rescued from being turned into bush meat.
