Despite complaints from the far-left about what President Donald Trump told an 7-year-old girl from South Carolina about Santa Claus during a phone call this week, the girl’s parents didn’t even mind.
“I think it’s crazy it became a big deal. It’s Christmastime. I’d love to keep politics out of Christmas. It didn’t bother me — I like to talk to my kids like adults,” the girl’s father, Donald J. Lloyd, said in a statement to BuzzFeed.
Seven-year-old Collman Lloyd’s mother, Erica, concurred.
“I’m a teacher. I’m OK with the vocabulary. He was very kind. I was very impressed with the phone call,” she said.
Earlier in the week on Christmas Eve, their daughter dialed up North America Aerospace Defense Command, which has been tracking Santa’s journey across the world since 1955.
Bizpac Review reports,
This joke triggered a backlash from the left, which accused Trump of ruining Collman’s Christmas. It was an accusation as credible as allegations of Russian collusion.
Not fake news and video of the little girl you said believing in Santa at 7 is marginal. Her mother couldn’t get you off the phone fast enough before you ruined her child’s Christmas. Hateful man that obviously doesn’t care about Christmas and joy for little children.

You ruined a 7 year old’s Christmas last night by putting doubt in his/her mind about Santa, nice. Stock Market is tanking & there is no way you can deny responsibility. There is not a majority who want this wall. Thanks for the potential collapse of what was a great country.

@FLOTUS tweeted tonight that the “Santa Tracker” has become her new favorite tradition. Her son is 12…so, apparently this never crossed her plate before @realDonaldTrump ruined Christmas for a 7 year old tonight.
The ghosts of Christmas will have a field day in the WH tonight.

Ruined Christmas for a 7 year old girl.

@realDonaldTrump is doing a bang up job with the holiday he claims he saved. 1st he ruined Christmas for a 7 year old boy by asking him if he still believes in Santa, now he is talking about hate & the shutdown he is causing to force us pay for a wall that most of us don’t want.

It was a 7-year-old girl, not a boy …
And Trump didn’t ruin Collman’s Christmas.
“He said, ‘Happy Christmas … It was great speaking to you, Collman … Please tell [your family] I wish them a happy Christmas. It made her Christmas,” the young girl’s mother said.
“Erica and Donald said Trump’s question about believing in Santa, and his ‘marginal’ comment, went completely over their daughter’s head. And they’re not at all concerned that it may have planted doubt in her belief in the Christmas figure,” BuzzFeed added.
Watch Collman’s reaction below:
Christmas at the Lloyd home this year wound up being no different than past years.
“That night, Lloyd and her siblings left iced sugar cookies and chocolate milk out for Santa. The next morning, they were gone, and under the tree was a wrapped gift with Lloyd’s name on it: a brand new American Girl doll,” their local newspaper, The Post and Courier, reported. “Santa is real after all, Lloyd said.”
So case closed, right? Not exactly.
Instead of just dropping this non-issue, leftists have refocused their perpetual ire on Collman’s parents.

I’m more bothered that they named their daughter Collman.
— Michael Cooke (@macooke_wx) December 26, 2018
who the hell names their daughter Collman
— optimaslide (@Denniseo) December 26, 2018
🗣😂😂😂 of course. They make an exuse for every crazy thing he does. #foolery

Trump could spit on his supporters children and they’d thank him. Trump could suggest cutting their baby in half and they’d call him a genius.

Translation: “Trump can take my child’s innocence and grab my pussy too ! “

I can’t really take seriously a person who would put their child on the phone with a sexual predator who couldn’t recite the alphabet without rambling off on a series of random, bigoted tangents before making clear he doesn’t know the alphabet.

I’m not sure that having your seven-year-old daughter call Donald Trump is the best way to “keep politics out of Christmas”.
— Catherine Weibel (@CatherineWeibel) December 26, 2018
Why would any responsible parent allow their child to speak with that creep? Even Melania keeps her child away.

Such kind, tolerant people, aye?
To be clear, neither Collman nor her parents knew she’d be speaking with Trump when she dialed NORAD.
“Don and I looked at each other and said surely this is a recorded message,” Erica said, describing the moment someone at NORAD placed Collman on hold so she could be connected to the president. “We were in shock, we really thought it was a recorded message.”
Nope. It was the president of the United States.
